Instructions

Thank you for your interest in using our facilities at DC on Film Row. Please fill out the following form with as much information as possible. We will review all submissions and let you know if we need any additional information. We reserve the sole right to determine who may be a guest in our facilities and the conditions/circumstances under which the space may be used. We are an all volunteer effort and it may take 1-2 days in which to respond. We take all requests in the order in which we receive them. So, although the calendar may indicate that a particular day/time is currently available there may be circumstances where we simply haven’t yet gotten to an earlier email requesting the use of the space. Please note that while the space and facilities are free to use, there is a $20/hr nonrefundable payment required to the person who hosts the space while it is in use. While we allow private parties when the space is available, our mission is to provide a space for community and nonprofit events first whenever possible. As such, beginning April 1st, we have instituted a couple of new procedures for private events such as baby showers, weddings, graduation ceremonies and the like:

  1. We will only book private events beginning in the month prior to the event. For example, if you wish to hold a baby shower on June 15th we would allow you to book the space no earlier than May 1st.
  2. The nonrefundable payment for your host must be made before the space will be “reserved” for your use. For example, if you wish to hold a baby shower on June 1st from 6pm to 11pm we would require the $100 payment ($20/hr for 5 hours) to be made at the time of booking or shortly thereafter in order to reserve the space. We will not hold or reserve the space for a private event until the host payment is complete. Please note that this is a nonrefundable payment–i.e., if the event is canceled the payment will not be refunded.
    • If the date for your event is available, we will contact you to obtain this nonrefundable payment. Please make certain that your contact information submitted is accurate and indicates the best email/number to reach you.
  3. The number of times any individual can reserve the space will be limited to once every six months.

While we do not wish to be overly formal with the requirements to use our facilities, our experience over the past 3 years has made it necessary to implement a few policies to better manage the space so everyone in our community has an opportunity to come together. Thanks!
