Emily E. Campbell provides strategic counsel to clients on trademarks, copyrights, internet law, and licensing.
Recent representation involved the global audit of the trademark portfolio of a technology company based in Rochester, New York and the acquisition of several domain names on behalf of a national insurance company. On behalf of Pictometry International Corp., Emily participated in drafting documents in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) proceeding calling into question certain of the company’s trade secrets, copyrighted images, and copyrighted software used in its business.
Emily is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Emily graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in May 2007. Prior to law school, she received her B.S. in Industrial Engineering in December 2003 from the University of Oklahoma.
As part of the top twenty-five percent of her class, Emily was honored on the Dean’s Honor Roll. She was involved in several student organizations in law school including Merit Scholars, Phi Delta Phi, and the Student Bar Association. She was elected as the President of the Intellectual Property Student Association where she initiated the Annual Intellectual Property Student Association Meet and Greet event which provides law students with the opportunity to talk with local intellectual property attorneys one on one about the field of intellectual property law.
In her undergraduate career, Emily was active in the Dean’s Leadership Council where she served as a mentor to several freshmen engineering students, and the Institute of Industrial Engineer’s where she served as the Activities Chair. She was also a member of Alpha Pi Mu, Society of Women Engineers, and Delta Delta Delta. Emily worked as a research assistant for the Industrial Engineering Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program funded through the National Science Foundation. In this capacity, she coordinated recruitment, assessment, and multiple research projects for several undergraduate students from various U.S. Universities.

Emily is an author of Dunlap Codding’s award winning and innovative intellectual property legal blog and resource center, PHOSITA.
Emily is also an author of “Ask the Legal Expert,” a monthly article featured in the Journal Record that provides readers with a brief explanation to a particular question regarding intellectual property law. Recent questions have included “Someone recently started a business with a name that is similar to my company’s name. How can I tell if this is trademark infringement?” and “How can my company benefit from an intellectual property strategy?”
Emily is a member of the Junior League of Oklahoma City. During this past year Emily contributed over 72 hours of volunteer service as a member of the League. Emily also serves as a member of the Education Committee of the Edmond Young Professionals, an initiative of the Edmond Chamber of Commerce.
Recently, Emily was the Chair of IgniteOKC – a community-driven networking event that connects people of diverse backgrounds and knowledge through a series of entertaining, rapidfire presentations. Emily spearheaded the formation of a steering committee to plan and execute the IgniteOKC event in less than 4 months.
