STARBUCKS MESSES WITH TEXAS BEER

DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS

The latte swiling rain loving yankees better watch it — Texans like their beer and they don’t take a hankering to folks telling them what to do.  Ok — enough Texas “speak” — what is causing all the fuss?  Well, it is Rex “Wrecks” Bell’s new beer: StarBock Beer.

Of course, the folks are Starbucks are perturbed… even sent a cease and desist letter.  Is Wrecks scared?  What do you think… According to the Houston Chronicle, Wrecks response goes something like this:

We need to reassure those poor folks who live in a part of the country where you have to drink caffeine shots to keep your brain from rusting.

Hey, y’all. We don’t know about you, but down here in Texas we know the difference between coffee and beer.

Beer is colder and tastes better. And it’s cheaper than your coffee.

And women are more fun after drinking beer than coffee.

Most men, too.

We promise we won’t confuse Star Bock with Starbucks. Look at the logos!

A cross-eyed lush can see the difference.

Starbucks was not impressed and promptly sued Wrecks for trademark infringement.  According to KIROTV, mediation is now scheduled — wouldn’t you want to be a fly on the wall in this one.  We can only hope that Starbucks doesn’t find out what the south end of a north bound steer looks like.
