Chambers described the firm as a “[l]ong-established, independent IP boutique with comprehensive coverage of contentious issues and the strategic management of copyright, patent and trademark portfolios.  Expertise in sectors such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering and software….Significant clients [include] Ashland, Cristal USA, DePuy Synthes, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, University of Oklahoma.”

Regarding Nicholas D. Rouse, Chambers said, “[Nick] acts as both managing director and head of the mechanical engineering group.  He is regarded by commentators as a “fine attorney” with particular experience in transactional work.”  Chambers also said, “Marc Brockhaus specializes in electrical engineering matters and recently defended online retailer QuiBids against a threatened law suit.  Clients praise his “amazing talent for explaining complicated technical specifications in layman’s terms,” and his dedication to their best interests.”  Finally, Chambers wrote, “Douglas Sorocco’s academic background is appreciated by biotechnology and life sciences clients.  He regularly advises on transactions, portfolio management and licensing.”
